Every other game I have can be maxed out without much problem. At best I can run it at around Medium with Ultra textures and some ambient occlusion (I think lowest of SSAO) and run at around 30FPS. Still, some games, like BF3, can't be maxed out. I just want to know, would setting something to above normal effect anything? Someone said to set Steam's Overlay to Above Normal to prevent it from crashing, but when I do that, does it give it more CPU, or does it give it more everything (RAM, CPU, and GPU)? My laptop already gives me the option to give certain programs access to my dedicated graphics card (I have an integrated GPU and a dedicated GPU) to make it run better. I've done a few google searches and it's shown me forums, which all say in one way or another "DO NOT SET A PROGRAM TO REAL-TIME", in which I'll heed that advice.
